More about stationary pallet changers and in-line solutions
Stationary pallet changers are designed for one fixed workstation with high and predictable throughput. They are mounted on a permanent foundation, connected to power and compressed air, and typically run in a fixed cycle with an operator or automatically.
In-line pallet changers are a specialised variant that sits directly in the conveyor belt. The pallet rolls in, gets swapped, and rolls onward without the flow stopping. It is the only type that genuinely supports high continuous throughput above 60 pallets per hour.
Typical scenarios
In the food industry, in-line pallet changers are often placed at the entry to the packaging area, where supplier pallets need to be exchanged for hygiene-approved plastic pallets. In the pharmaceutical industry they are used between production and warehousing, where traceability requires documentation of the pallet exchange.
Integration and control
Our stationary and in-line solutions can be controlled locally via touch panel, or integrated with an existing PLC and SCADA. We build control cabinets and program the logic so the machine talks to your other production equipment from day one.
Many of our in-line installations also include barcode or RFID scanning, so each pallet is registered at the swap and contributes to the traceability documentation. For lower volumes and flexible placement, a mobile pallet changer may be a better choice.
