An easy place to switch from plastic pallets (or other types of pallets) to wooden pallets is in the warehouse.
Warehouses are normally only used for storage, so here there are not the same high requirements for cleanliness as in the production area.
As long as the goods are packed well enough, nothing happens by using wooden pallets here.
Normally there is also plenty of space in a warehouse, so it is no problem to have a machine (or several) standing.
If you have the right machines available, it is easy and simple to change pallets. It should of course never be manual work,
as it leads to wear on employees, plus it goes slower.
Instead we simply recommend that you get a pallet changer and possibly also a pallet turner, and that staff are instructed in using them.
With a pallet changer it is easy and quick to change pallets, and with minimal hassle.
Most companies that choose to phase out wooden pallets from the production area immediately begin to experience good benefits.
It creates better hygiene, and the hassle is less than you would think.
